Mount Eden
Just a 15 minute walk to the namesake of the suburb, Mount Eden, also known as Maungawhau, grants stunning vistas of Auckland in every direction from its peak. This is a regular exercise and leisure spot for the current tenants.
Mount Eden Village
From good burgers and delicious take away options to well attended cafes and wine bars, the tenants enjoy the variety on offer with a village feel.
Gym & Indoor Pool
Gym Tonic is a four minute walk and has been very popular with the house. There are two pools, a five lane and a smaller pool, both recently refurbished. There is also access to a sauna.
Major Bus Routes
A four minute walk to major bus routes, plus link bus service which is important for getting to everywhere from Ponsonby to Newmarket.
Close To The City
The Mount residence is only 2.8kms from Auckland CBD, where both of the Auckland University of Technology and University of Auckland city campuses are located.
Dominion Road
This long stretch of road is full of excellent eateries, known well for its range of Asian cuisine. There is also a popular Irish pub and a sports bar that are frequented spots for the tenants.
Eden Park is only a brief 12 minutes walk from the property and many house mates have enjoyed rugby and cricket matches there. It is New Zealand’s largest sports stadium, with a capacity of 50,000, making it the largest stadium in New Zealand. Eden Park is also one of the world’s most famous sporting venues.
